When I have traveled to England, I have been in awe of the ruins of very old historic sites. In America that lovely old shell would have been removed. As it is, it has such power.
And I think perhaps the strength of the ruin is intensified by the wet weather.
Thank you, Simone.sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11358189683016220420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286816260772009427.post-84946910231872091712017-02-16T16:04:08.583+00:002017-02-16T16:04:08.583+00:00It's a wonderfully atmospheric place isn't...It's a wonderfully atmospheric place isn't it? I remember being taken to see the new cathedral when I was a young teenager by an uncle who lived there, but it's the old one that draws you in. My mother was in Leicester during the war and I remember she once told me how they were awake all night as they could hear the bombs falling on nearby Coventry:)Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733563829902335223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286816260772009427.post-75833092934479025992017-02-16T15:14:15.299+00:002017-02-16T15:14:15.299+00:00Oh I do love old churches......so much history and...Oh I do love old churches......so much history and as you say, peace!
Such a shame about the weather though.
V xgreenrabbitdesignshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12562034074399686544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286816260772009427.post-62302560375133111652017-02-16T12:14:23.813+00:002017-02-16T12:14:23.813+00:00I enjoyed your pictures of this wonderful historic...I enjoyed your pictures of this wonderful historic place Simone.
