A couple of weeks back I purchased a large hank of sari ribbon. I tried knitting with it and macrame but didn't get the results I wanted.
Then I found a project that suited it perfectly - ribbon roses.
The sari ribbon has the ability to twist and turn and form 'petals'. I am pondering whether or not to attach the wool felt backs to the roses or leave them as they are. I think they will make nice brooches for winter attire and even look good pinned on a hat!
Oooooh they're gorgeous Simone! Really rich colours.
ReplyDeleteYou're really on a roll with the crafting these days...wonderful! :)

These are beautiful Simone and versatile too as you can use them as brooches, pinned on hats (as you said) or scarves and even to embellish a plain handbag.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely - you really are on a roll these days aren't you? Oops just realised Vivienne has said the exact same thing!
ReplyDeleteThey are, indeed, lovely. The colours are so vibrant and I like the way the fabric folds.
ReplyDeleteI would leave them as they are.. beautiful!
