Using up store cupboard ingredients and some quince jelly that was in the fridge, I made a stack of 30 jam splats! High in fat and melt in the mouth but simple to make and very moreish!
You can find the recipe here I do think that this batch were better than the last though - these are much crumblier and less overworked. Happy baking!
They look delicious Simone, just the thing with a mug of tea! :)

They look delicious. Recipe is almost like some I make but without the jam (slightly reduced calorie?!) Probably best if I don't make any though as I would eat them - I try the recipe when I have somebody coming to share them with!
ReplyDeleteMmm - they look good, Simone! I made a poppy seed cake today:)
ReplyDeleteI love poppy seed cake!
ReplyDeleteI could just eat one of those - is that Apricot jam? I have hardly been in the kitchen this weekend I have spent more time on the kitchen displays in John Lewis trying to plan our new one - problems already arising!
ReplyDeleteIgnore my last comment I missed the fact you said it was Quince jelly!!! I like that too though.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of jam splats, Simone, but they look absolutely delicious! xx
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious and I know for certain that in my house they wouldn't last for very long. I made your banana cake the other day and it was so good, the best I've had so far :-)
ReplyDeleteThe right "virtual" complement for the coffee I've just had, since I'm not allowed to have cakes after lunch :(

I've got to try these!
