A Return to Fabric Flower Brooches

I have started to make some fabric flower brooches for the craft fair.  The first time I made these I used brightly coloured floral fabrics.  I think the more sedate neutral tones will be more fitting for the autumn.  I have no idea of how many to make or even if people will want to buy them!  If you have a favourite , which one is it?

  1. I usually only make six of something, then if people are interested, I say I'm happy to make more, but even on a special order again I only make the minimum of say six. Otherwise you could be making the same thing forever!

  2. Never having sold anything it's hard to say how many although I guess you want enough to make a display of some kind. I think I'd go for the ticking one in the middle although I was dithering about the right hand one in autumn shades - I Like them all!

  3. I like the middle one best but I also like the tartan one on the right I can imagine each one on the lapels of different kinds and colours of jackets/coats:)

  8. they would look lovely displayed in a small wicker basket Simone, I like them all, I am partial to autumnal colours. decide how you are going to display them then make enough for that.

  9. You've picked just the right fabrics for these beauties - if you enjoy making them I'd make a dozen or so - you do need a few in a box under your stall to fill in gaps if they sell well. I find I can always use extras of things I've made too many of as "just a little something" gifts for friends and family.

  10. I like the one on the left best. They're very nice, I prefer these to the ones with the fabric covered centres. As the comments so far have shown though everyone likes different things! Good luck with the craft sale. I used to sell my mirrors at craft sales and always enjoyed them, even the ones when I didn't sell much.
