The Year of the Poppy

It has definitely been the year of the poppy in my garden.  Self seeded pink pom poms had made a cleared patch of earth their home.  The profusion of pink petals was short lived and seed heads are now holding next years potential.

It's funny how when you clear things away something else comes to replace it.  A void in your life, a space in the home, a hollow waiting to be filled.........nothing stays empty for long............

  2. So true, how lovely to have the self seeded poppies, it's a shame they don't last long but that fragility makes them extra special. Have a lovely weekend:)

  4. I love poppies, we had a few in our garden, none planted by us, they just found their way in.

  5. I won't know where the poppies will have grown in our Scottish garden until we go up in a few days time - they shift around each year and surprise me but are very welcome and take no looking after!
