Birthday
It's my birthday today - officially not until early evening. I was born during one of the coldest winters in the UK back in 1963. Snow was thick on the ground. Today I rose early to hang the washing out on the line. The grass was covered in a glittery frost and the sky was the bluest of blues. Today is predicted to be a warm day.

DeleteI am sorry to have missed your birthday Simone and hope that it was a good day for you. I was born in the summer of 46 and the winter was so bad that my Mother had to climb out of the bedroom window to put my nappies on the line. That is what she told me, I think I would have hung them around the fire-places...
ReplyDeleteThanks T.A! I can just imagine your Mum climbing out of the window to hang out the nappies! :)
