As a diversion to the season I have been learning to make flower earrings as well as learning different chain maille techniques. I only took up chain maille 5 months ago and am making good progress. I will share my chain maille makes on my jewellery blog at a later date.
2015 has been one of the quickest and most challenging years of my life. The highlight of the year was getting our rotting windows replaced. Other than that a day without arguing or feeling depressed was a bonus.
I look to the new year with hope once again, as I always do. I have enough craft projects to keep me interested and busy. If I could find a way to make my hobbies pay for themselves - that would be an added bonus. I need to keep my aspirations high but realistic.
I do hope to blog again before the new year but in case I don't get an opportunity I want to wish you all:
Peace, Health and Happiness for 2016.
Those earrings are beautiful, full of Spring and Summer.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are depressed, and I know all about highlights of the week, month, year! Like you I wish I could find away of making our crafts pay....... I have just given a load of crafted stuff away!

Oh dear, it sounds like a difficult year.
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are lovely. Many years ago I used to book tables at small local craft fairs, selling hand-made earrings made from wire and beads. The small craft fairs were cheaper to book so there was less financial risk, and people were looking for cheaper items so earrings seemed to hit the mark. I didn't make a fortune but it did seem worth it. Just a thought.
All the best for 2016, and I hope the new year brings happier times.
Jane.
Hi Jane! Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately the craft fairs around here are saturated with jewellery makers and don't want to accept any more of them.
ReplyDeleteThe earings are very pretty and summery! Wishing you Peace, Health and Happiness for 2016 too:)
ReplyDeleteThese earrings are lovely, Simone!! I always look forward to seeing what you have made because you are so talented! I really hope that the new year is happier for you. Sending love and hugs. xx
ReplyDeleteThose earrings are sweet - especially the fuchsia type ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for our card, I was thrilled to receive one of your hand made ones. I was showing it to a friend yesterday ad she said it was one of the loveliest she#d seen this year.

What sweet flower earrings, Simone! I'm sorry that it was a difficult year. It was for me, too. But that's the beauty of January, a fresh year with so much possibility. Let's make 2016 wonderful!!
