Just popping by to say hi! This is my first nasturtium flower to come out. The flowers are supposed to be dark red and rich cream flecked. I am looking forward to seeing it in full bloom.
Once again an amazing photo, Simone. I'm so very happy to know you have a bit of your own garden to bring you joys such as this. Life today, without such a comfort, would be a burden indeed. Wishing you a good week ahead.
Thank you Sharon. I know that I am fortunate to have a garden and have spent a lot of time in it these last few months. Wishing you a good week ahead too. :)
I'm getting impatient Rosie! I have sown so many seeds but it seems to be taking an age for things to flower. I bet soon I will be inundated with flowers and produce. Hopefully! :)
So pretty! I'm jealous yours are already blooming. I have never grown this variety before, but I have grown some that look similar. I think I remember the colors getting even more interesting late in the summer when the nights were cooler. I think you said you were going to grow some white nasturtiums, too?
This was the first one to bloom Anne. I think there will be a lot more red running through them as they mature. I am growing some cream coloured nasturtiums called milkmaid but they are yet to flower. I will share what they look like when they eventually bloom.

It is really pretty Julie. I think they are meant to be cream with red streaks and flecks. We shall see! x
DeleteHi! I love your flower and the photograph. It looks like your garden is doing very well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bonnie! The garden is doing well apart from the grass which has become sun bleached! :)
DeleteGlad you popped by to say hi. The nasturtium is a lovely colour, I bet it will look wonderful when the plant is covered with flowers:)
