Serial Maker

It has taken a while for the penny to drop but I have discovered that I am a serial maker.  It is rare that I make just one of anything.  I have to make the same thing over and over until I get things 'just right'.  Then I stop.  Just like that I stop and move onto something else.  There may be some more mileage in the key rings or some variation in making them but I am eager to to explore new and challenging things.

This has been another unusual week full of the mundane and of the unexpected too.  I had to go to the GP on Monday as I have been having an ongoing foot problem since tripping down a couple of stairs back in September.  She asked me if I worked and when I replied 'no' she looked at me and said 'what do you do all day?"   I told her that I like to make things and I am busy doing that.  She gave me an almost pitying look and I felt really small and useless.

I still haven't returned to the vineyard, for several reasons really.  I wonder if it is just one of those things that has run its course as I always seem to have an excuse not to go.

Well, the spring equinox is almost upon us.  A time for change.  A time for new directions.

I have decided to postpone the giveaway for the time being due to unforeseen circumstances (it isn't nearly as dramatic as it sounds)!

Have a lovely spring equinox! x

Another Key Ring

I think this is my favourite key ring so far.

I love the vibrant orange beads.

I like to make things with symbolism.

Hare charm  - representing fertility.
Triquetra charm  - representing the earth, sea and sky.
Pentacle charm - symbol of protection.

The beautiful vibrant orange ceramic bead depicts images of the sun and the foiled orange glass bead glows like the major star of our solar system.

A wonderful key ring for sun worshippers and nature lovers alike.

Gizmo Keyring

I finally got around to completing my Gizmo keyring.  Now I can move onto other things!

I embellished the back with a few birds too.

The real Gizmo is curled up in the house having sweet dreams.  He has turned into a bit of a night owl going out at 4.30pm and coming home after 10.00pm!  Every night I worry that he won't come home and cannot rest until he shows up on the window ledge.  I can then breathe a sigh of relief and go to bed!
