Garden in July 2019

The garden has a few splashes of bright colour at the moment.

Gizmo sits daily overlooking the wild area hoping to catch whatever torments him.

My husband planted up some runner beans in late spring.  Hopefully we will be harvesting in a few weeks time.

I've been happy with this begonia called fragrant falls peach.  It flowers profusely and smells of roses.

The petals are tightly packed and just looking at it makes me smile.

  1. Cosmos will always lend colour to a garden and when paired with dark foliage as here (what is that plant?)looks even better. I have not come across a Begonia with perfume before, you are lucky to have one.

Gizmo and the beans are looking good too!

    1. Hi Toffeeapple. The dark foliage plant is ipomoea sweet caroline. It seems that scented begonias have been around for a while now but were only added recently to the easy-to-grow hanging basket and tub begonias (info from RHS website.) The beans are looking healthy and Gizmo has sharpened claws to the ready! :)
