Making the cards has been a good diversion for my state of mind. I've been a bit low this week with external factors getting to me. I tend to keep busy in the garden or making food or doing other domestic chores. I am used to spending long hours alone so it has been a learning curve for me to have two other adults working from home.
When things return to 'normal' and I get my space back I may feel inclined to do painting again but I need complete quiet to do that. Card making keeps me occupied and I have something to show for my time!
They really are cute cats Simone ... I do know what you mean about your own space though!
ReplyDeleteI like my own space. I am not fond of sharing! :)
DeleteYour cards are wonderful. I know what you mean about feeling low sometimes, it's a time when we must all have ups and downs at some point wondering what will happen next. Take care, I hope you enjoy the bank holiday weekend:)
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am waiting for something to happen Rosie and can never really settle. I know that I am not alone with this feeling. I hope that you have a lovely weekend too. :)
DeleteYour cards are lovely plus you will be prepared for all card requiring occasions! You mention feeling like you are waiting for something to happen. You know I have heard more people say just that recently and I feel the same. It is a bad feeling that seems to have come with this virus.
ReplyDeleteYes Bonnie. It is the fear of the unknown.
DeleteOh I love those cards

Thanks Julie! x
DeleteThink of it as a trial period for when you retire - it is a big learning curve to have DH at home all the time now and took us ages to get used to it!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards Simone you are so creative. x
I'm OK with them being at home it's just that I have to be mindful when they're on work related on line zoom conferences and I have to keep out of the way and keep changing rooms. The cards were just an activity to keep my mind from wandering! x
DeleteHi, Simone. These are so fun! I'm glad you found a productive way to deal with the stresses of these weird times. I wonder if you ever paint in the garden. I do not but was recently reading a book by an artist who is also a gardener and her talking about painting in the garden made me want to try again.
ReplyDeleteTake good care and have a lovely week!
I don't paint in the garden Anne. I tried it years ago and got frustrated with bits of leaves and other things blowing into the painting! I could do some embroidery outside though and maybe I will give that a go. I hope you have a lovely week too. :)
DeleteThese are very jolly Simone! xx
ReplyDeleteYes! Happy cats! x
