ACEO Abstract Art
A couple more examples of the tiny art I have been making. The painted area is just 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches and is of the same size as a trading card.
I have listed these on eBay along with a couple more with the same theme. These are made expressively and intuitively.
You can find them here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/4265simone
Thank you for looking!

Cat Bite
Feeling very sorry for myself just now. Last week Gizmo attacked me and sunk his teeth into my arm. It is getting better now but still painful around the area. I have been feeling low for a while. Not had a holiday for over a decade and 'fun' has been in short supply.
I was thrilled when my son booked a day off work to spend a day out with me. I said I would like to do something cultural so we had planned a day in London going to the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square and then going to a nice cafe for lunch. Almost as soon as the day was planned I got sick with flu like symptoms and spent most of the day in a dressing gown sleeping it off. I rarely get ill so this was a shock to me.
The body aches are subsiding but I am left with a chesty cough, sore throat and watery eyes. I dream of a day where things go to plan. I know that it is not the end of the world because I didn't get to enjoy a day out and hopefully we can do it another day in the future.

Another Baboushka
This little lady looks a bit pensive. She has a touch of the Frida Kahlo about her eyebrows and expression to me.
I like how the sequins catch the light. I am getting to like sparkle more and more.............

Baboushka Decoration
I am itching to get on and make another one as I have a stack of felt and faces to choose from. Deciding the colours is the hardest part!

A Life in Patterns
The patterns were individually priced and as I couldn't make up my mind I bought the whole lot! When I got home I went through the patterns one by one. I got a sense of the previous owner just by looking at the patterns, the notes made on them, names of who she was making them for.......many school style cardigans and dolls clothes for bazaars.
I was saddened to see personal notes interspersed between the pages - important numbers and contact details. It was as though she had died and her personal things had been dropped off at the charity shop without anyone going through them. Little snippets of a person deduced by their knitting correspondence.
I can sense that Ethel was a kind person. She had requested the Teddies for Tragedies knitting pattern which is used to knit teddies 'for children in third world or war torn countries.' Thank you Ethel for all the cardigans, jumpers and toys you have made over the years. I bet you was much loved by your friends and family. x
