I have noticed something recently.  My new positive outlook on  life has begun to change my fortune.  There has been no major changes such as a money windfall or offer of interesting employment but there have been little things, and it is the little things that make all the difference.

In the last couple of months I have had 3 emails read out on the Create and Craft channel (don't laugh!) and a photo of my scene-it cards shown.  I have had two letters published in the local newspaper, I received a personal email from Uri Geller, I won a beautiful knitted bag in Viv's giveaway and today Louise sent me a lovely magazine on baking and cooking - just my kind of thing!!!

In addition to the good fortune being bestowed on me, I have had a surge of creativity and feel that I am making progress in my creative endeavours.

Being upbeat isn't easy for me. I have to work at being positive.  Even if I am feeling low I adopt a cheery attitude and have recognised that my good mood has a positive effect on those around me.  I have made a conscious decision to do something for someone else every day.

I truly believe that serendipity is at work.

How nice that you are seeing results of your positivity. Of course it's not always easy, but I think that, as with most things, the more you practice, the easier it gets. One day, you'll be doing it without even trying.

Hi Simone, I am fine thanks. I have been busy at work and then very tired by the time I get home that I haven't felt like blogging for a while.
It's lovely to know that having a positive outlook is paying for you.
I will try to catch up this week with everyone and to put something on my blog. xxxxxx

It is hard to always be positive, but I've found - as you have - that it's worth it! Keep smiling :)

No laughing here... I LOVE it when you send an email somewhere and they actually take the time to read it out, because it makes you feel a real part of it.

I'm so glad that your positivity is bringing about such exciting changes in your life and maybe these exciting things are helping your positivity a little? It can be hard to remain positive, but it is always worth it in the end!

Here's hoping 2011 continues in the way it has begun for you, Simone xx

Sometimes it's hard to remember that being positive is a choice. That's when it's true grace to turn to your friends for a lovely uplifting reminder. Your shining jonquil photo would have been enough to lighten my soul. But reading your words today completely dispells the grey cloud I've been under since dawn. Thanks, Simone.

So lovely to read this post today! I'm glad your positive thinking is working in your life. Speaking of serendipity (I love that word too) my eye has just lighted on a piece of craft paper which has quotes scattered over it and I spied these words: 'joy delights in joy' (Shakespeare)! Thanks for sharing your positive thoughts, and have a wonderful week ahead. Helen x
