A Non-Event

Today is a bit of a non-event.  The sky is grey, the air is still.  My duties are piling up but I just want to sit and stare and do nothing.  I have been quite productive over the last few weeks and my energy is running  low.  I went out for a short walk to look for inspiration and to lift the cloud that is sitting gloomily over my head.  The only inspiring thing I could find was the cherry blossom in my next-door neighbours garden.

My 'blogger'-versary came and went without me even realising it.  My first blog post was March 1st 2008 - 3 years ago.  Since this time many people have entered my somewhat reclusive World and added another dimension to my life.  Some visitors are fleeting, some drop by from time to time and others stay for the long haul.

I do worry that I am going to run out of things to say..................I guess that when that happens it will be the time to stop.

  2. Don't worry, you must have bloggers block. lol
I get it often and think that nobody will be interested in my mundane life, and then I get a spark and start up again.

  3. I hope you won't run out of things to say as I'd miss you. I know what you mean though as I was thinking recently "Am I just repeating myself here and is my blog more of the same old thing" But life is like that and it can't be always filled with exciting things to tell. We value our friends even when they have nothing to say don't we and not just for the good times. Hope you cloud will lift soon - remember this too shall pass and accept things as they are now not struggling to return to your previous energetic self. This is your down time and your up time is just around the corner I'm sure.

  6. I always enjoy dropping by your blog and I'm sure you won't run out of things to say.

The blossoming cherry is so lovely. We're still a ways away from such springiness here, but I know it's on its way.

Happy blogger-versary to you and happy spring (almost)!

  7. You're just having a bit of a dip, as we all do. Maybe its the moon's phase? The blossom is really lovely, and I'm sure there's plenty more to come, with the help of a bit of sunshine. I hope there's plenty more to come on your blog as well, but you're perfectly entitled to take a break whilst you replenish your inspiration. Three years is a long time to keep going, and you do a great job, so well done.

  8. Hello Simone

You know, I think when we get very still and very quiet, what we really need to know eventually comes to the surface.
I get many moments where I feel as if a limbo has descended, and it usually follows a period of great productivity.
Perhaps our little creative cells just need to rest a while, be gentle with yourself and the rest will follow.

    Sending love

  9. belated bloggy anniversary , sometimes I think I'll run out of things to say and wonder if people will get bored with what I have to offer but someone once told me to thin k of it as my online diary and that is exactly what I do . Sometimes it can be disheartening when you only get a couple of comments on a post but you just kind of go with it ... Keep going :-)
