Rich Rewards
After a disappointing summer, I feel that September has stepped in with her rich rewards. This majestic tree stands in my neighbour's front garden. Beautifully fragrant, it rustles in the light autumn breeze. The blue sky provides a wonderful backdrop. Around here the trees are still verdant but slowly yellowing. Soon the leaves will be ready to fall and we will know that autumn has truly arrived. I read a lovely description about falling leaves that is ' when a leaf falls from the tree it is just summer's way of waving goodbye.'

You've changed your header again. Beautiful tree, is it a Robinia?
ReplyDeleteYour quote put a smile on my angry face (we're in the middle of a big storm and it's raining since last night..I fear that Summer is ending in my little corner of world too)

What a beautiful tree, and such a lovely quote too. I haven't seen blue sky for over two weeks now, since we came back from France. I find this time of year quite depressing as we hurtle relentlessly towards winter.

ReplyDeleteI do enjoy your photos, Simone.
Hi Simone,
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful tree, it looks so lovely and perfect to me as a lot of my trees are all looking rather wind burnt and brown.
I like your falling leaves background too. x
Oh what a lovely saying, it brought a smile to my face.
