This is the last of the fabric flower brooches posts for the time being. I have enjoyed making the brooches but I think it is time to move on and make something else.
Since1st November I have been writing down 10 Latin words, quotes and phrases every day. I am slightly concerned that I am going to run out of words before the end of the 30 day project! If you know of any good ones then please let me know.
I recently rediscovered domesticali's blog that I used to read years ago. She has a really interesting project going on at the moment called The Compound Word Project. It is, in her words, a project for people who love words and pictures. Why not pop over and see if you would like to take part. I am!
These are beautiful Simone and they can be used in so many ways. I love the detail of the fabric circles in the middle of the flower, it's really nice.
ReplyDeleteThe red ones would look great hanging from the Christmas tree...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link too, it's a lovely new blog to follow that I hadn't known about before.
Not sure if i have understood correctly how the compound word project works :) anyway, have fun!

Happy Tuesday,

Well done Simone, I can't offer you any words in Latin but I shall be looking at Ali's blog later on, it is two or three further on in my Reader. I have been reading her for a few years now.
ReplyDeleteReally love these brooches Simone - I especially like that each petal is a different fabric. Brill!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers, Simone. I've just popped over to look at the Compound Word Project, I'm assuming there will be more info on there later on to explain how we participate other than just guessing what word is represented by the two photos? Anyway looks like fun:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out about the Compound Word Project, Simone. I was thinking that red flower in the foreground was very Poinsettia like - must be Christmas spirit creeping up on me.
ReplyDeleteI admire you for learning Latin words, Simone. You are very inspiring!
