Advancement

This is my walk up to the vineyard through the farm.  Wellington boots are an essential part of the kit.  I am going to be here a lot more often over the coming month as we have 3 weeks of intensive pruning.

I have been very busy over the last week and there seems to be a flurry of activity and opportunity being presented to me.  This is a chance for me to evolve (my word for 2013) and have new experiences.

Naturally shy, I will put that behind me as I show a group of enthusiastic women how to make fabric flower brooches.  By return, I will learn to make willow herb baskets to be sold at one of our fund raising events up at the farm.

Forgive me if I don't post or comment on your blogs as frequently as I normally do.  It is time for me to seize the moment and stop ignoring the signs for advancement.

  8. Surely wish I could be at your side when you learn how to make willow herb baskets. Please include some info on that project in a future blog. I do love seeing that green grass, It has been snowing here in the driftless region of Wisconsin, USA every day for more than a week and though I know it's a good thing having such a deep snow layer on the ground now that will melt into the soil still recovering from last summers's drought come spring time, my eyes do long for some deep color. And some day, when I plant my own grapes, I'll look to you for help in keeping them neat and productive.

  10. Hi Simone - I am so happy for you that you are 'evolving' and won't mind at all if you do not comment - I totally understand and you must seize the moment - but do let us in on your new experiences once in a while with a quick up date. Like Sharon I would love to hear how to make the willow herb baskets - oh and do remember to take your camera so you can share the moments with us. Have fun and keep in touch I will be thinking of you. Viv xx
