An Afternoon Break

Today is my idea of a perfect summer day.  It is not too hot, there is a lovely breeze and the sky is blue.  I have taken advantage of this clement weather and done some dabbling with paints under the dappled shade of the plum tree.

No one else likes this part of the garden.  I tuck myself away from curious eyes and just play about with paints without being judged.  Time passes quickly.  I must do this more often.

  1. Sounds like a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon, Simone:)

  2. Sounds old fashioned but my best relaxer is jigsaws, time flashes past and I find myself humming away and happy.
We all need something that takes us away from the stresses of this life. Pleased that you have found yours.

  3. Simone,
Wishing you many such lovely secret garden getaways this summer. The image of you happily working there will keep me pleasant company throughout this day.

  4. How wonderful to have your own little nook in the garden to spend some time doing something you like.

  5. Ah, sounds heavenly to me, Simone!! Love seeing you enjoying art! Aren't we fortunate to have creativity in our lives? xx

  6. Sounds divine! I hope you find more time for this, Simone!!
