Wrapping Up 2020

Just a few more days until Christmas and then the new year.  The year has been like a nightmare.  I dream deep and vivid dreams and I wake up and the dream is still very much with me.  I feel like I am living in a parallel universe.

There is nothing more to say here for this year.  Roll on 2021.

    1. Thanks for visiting Rachel. This was just practising with acrylics - last year? I can't remember exactly. I didn't have an image to go with this post and then I found this in a pile of papers. I thought it most apt! Better times around the corner is a great hope. x

  3. How nice to see a post from you today Simone! What you have said is interesting to me because I have often said I feel like my dreams are a parallel universe to my life.

I appreciate this painting you've done. It pulls me in and at first sight it felt almost Biblical like the parting of the sea. But then as I looked at it I saw something like a young, white horse or calf (or maybe something else?) in the upper center. I realized to me this is a picture of 2020 and the young creature is 2021 coming in or being born through the darkness of 2020. Yes, I've always had a vivid imagination but this does speak to me. Thank you for sharing it.

I hope you are well Simone and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks Bonnie! As I said to Rachel, this painting was done some time ago but for me summed up 2020! All those things you see in it - I do too! Great minds think alike! Let's hope that a fresh new creature emerges from the darkness in 2021. I hope you are well too Bonnie. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year also. x

  4. I think we're all looking forward to 2021. I know the change of date won't really change anything, but it will be good to have a fresh perspective.

Take good care. And have a lovely holiday.
