Yankee Candle Collection

I have a rapidly growing collection of Yankee Candles. The large jar candles are my favourites as they infuse the whole house with their wonderful aromas. Each morning I light my Good Morning candle in the kitchen. This one smells of fruity breakfast muffins. In the evening I light my blackberry scented candle in the living room.
With wonderful names such as Indonesian Ginger, Greek Fig and Blackcurrant, Rose of Morocco and Brazilian Passion Fruit, how can I resist? I change my candles to suit my mood. In the summer I tend to like the fresh and fruity scented candles and later in the year I prefer the vanilla and warm spiced ones.

My collection (obsession) doesn't just stop at large jar candles. I have small and medium jar candles, samplers, tea lights, tarts and tart burners and 3 wick candles. I like to think that I have a scent and a candle for every occasion!

There is candle wax in every colour imaginable in the Yankee Candle range. The green ones above are 'Granny Smith' as in the apple and not in as your Granny! The creamy yellow one is 'Sweet Honeysuckle' and the white one is 'Clean Cotton' which is supposedly one of the most popular scents in the range.
When the electricity bills go up I am all set for my evenings by candlelight!

  5. Wow Simone, you have some choice there, my favourite would be vanilla, although I like citrus smells too. I have lots of tealights, but only usually light them when we have guests or in the bleak of winter. I always look in the Yankee Candle shop post Christmas, I have bought some great things for half price in their sales. x

  10. oh my Simone, you could open your own shop with that little lot!
I have not bought scented candles for years (plain old tealights here), but you have inspired me to try a Yankee candle :: we have a Candle Shop in my town and I know they sell these, so if they are as lovely as you say.....might go an buy a jar to try it out.
Seeing as I am reluctantly finding myself doing Autumny things, candles seem to fit the bill.

    have a great weekend

  11. I used to work parttime in a candle shop and loved it. I'm still burning from my stash that I bought while working there. I love the way my house smells. I like Morenci, Wood Wick (they have wick that crackle like a fireplace) and Salt City and Illume. Have you tried any of them?

  13. Tries to comment on this a few days ago and had a technical hitch with Mr P's laptop - some delicious-sounding smells you have there, but a slightly worrying number of candles! Perhaps candles for you are like pebbles for me - there are never enough.

  15. Mmm - the different fragrances sound wonderful - I love scented candles, incense sticks and pot pouri - there is a Yankee candle shop not too far away, I must pop in to have a look and smell soon:)

  16. Yep, I think you have an obsession there - but a harmless one at that. You might be obsessed with eating chocolate like me and that's not good. My yankee favourite is clean cotton....gorgeous.
