Staying Positive

My new 'positive' outlook on life is proving to be more challenging than I previously thought. I very nearly put up a picture of a bleak January afternoon in the garden on this post but decided on the cheery Gerbera instead. I almost feel more positive just absorbing the orange glow of the flower.

I have been looking at quotes on positivity and would like to share this one with you.

'Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.' (Emory Austin)

  5. Beautiful picture. Flowers (even photos of them) always cheer. The weather can be grey and dreary just now, but I find it helps to get outside. Look after yourself x

  6. Thanks for your comment on mine - but, do you know, although that house was beautiful, I'm much happier now - too complicated to go into, but living in a lovely place doesn't make you instantly happy! Abby x

  7. I am so relieved you didn't put up that photo of a bleak afternoon Simone! I love Gerbera flowers, but rarely buy them. Keep up with the inspirational quotes. x

  8. I think the Gerbera was a good choice. January is such a bleak month anyway. Christmas has gone and it seems a long time until the Spring. I will be making you feel worse and you want to feel positive. Well I'm positive it seems a long time until Spring. x

  9. Definately a good choice with the flower ... there is way too much grey around at the minute...

  12. It can be hard not to feel bleak in January. Thank you for the cheerful flower ( I got confuzzled by all the sunny marigolds and chrysanthemums and gerberas up at the top *pointing to first comments* and had to stop and calm myself, lol)

  13. Happy new year! Good on you for tryin to stay positive. I've got pessimistic tendencies myself, so I know how hard it is to look for the brighter side of things.
That flower is lovely; it would look lovely printed on canvas put up on a dark wall

  14. Happy New Year Simone!

Glad you chose the cheery gerbera, as its chucking it down here and the outlook is quite dreary, your picture is uplifting to say the least!
I love that most of us seem to have got the new year bug of feeling positive, I hope it lasts and your new year is off to a flying start.

    Much love to you

this cheery orangeyness is just what i needed today. it is wet and grey outside and everyone apart from pom-pom (the hamster) seems to be lethargic inside.

    love the quote x

  17. Wow, Simone, this photo really perked me up!! It's hard to stay positive, but it helps to have good friends who are that way. Keep writing about it and you will attract positive people and feel good, too! (my theory, anyway!) I'm right in there with you!!
