May

And after April, when May follows,
And the white throat builds, and all
the swallows!
Hark, where my blossom'd pear tree
in the hedge
Leans to the field and scatters on the
clover
Blossoms and dewdrops -

Robert Browning

  12. I do love to see your flowers, Simone. They provide such joy.
I think May is often the gentlest month of the year with soft fragrances drifting into the bedroom at night through windows now open even just a little bit. And bird song everywhere. So many of my favorite flowers bloom only in May and are gone much too soon. Have you found a way to convince May to take her time in your garden? Would you share your secret if you have?
However swiftly she flies, or blissfully lingers, happy May to you.
