Spooky!

It has been a strange day.  I had a very restless night where I kept imagining the bedroom furniture in different positions.  I got up this morning and changed around my bedroom furniture that has remained in place for over 14 years.  I  cleared up 14 years of dust from under my bed and saw enough cobwebs to merit
Hallow e'en.

An eerie day, overcast and gloomy.  A day of the unexpected, and a shock when I discovered this pumpkin coloured nasturtium in the back garden.  A most vibrant bloom that cheered my soul.  It must have self seeded from last year and decided to show its flowery face today.

Happy Hallow e'en and Samhain for those that celebrate it.  I will light a candle and give thanks for the past year.

  1. What a lovely burst of colour on a dull day. I tried to tidy my garden this morning but rain stopped play (what's new)!!
Happy Halloween Simone and of course you can borrow a black cat, there's certainly enough of them. :)

  2. Happy Samhain Simone. What a treat to find a flower like that in bloom. My Wallflowers are blooming again, that is very spooky for me.

  3. What a treat to find a lovely flower on a gloomy day! We don't do Hallowe'en any more ... my two are all grown up now, but my class have chattered about it all day today! They're so excited!

  4. How funny, a bright orange nasturtium has just popped up in my flower bed too...must be the spell of milder weather! They are so nice and bright and just right for Halloween too. Hope you enjoy your new bedroom arrangement and the feng shui feels right. Happy Halloween, Simone.

Oh, I love that feeling of changing around a room and cleaning out all the corners and cobwebs. I don't do it all that often!! But I have been working on my living room this week while my husband is in China on business. He will come home to all new pillow (cushion) covers !!
    Happy Hallowe'en, Simone!

  12. hi Simone

we've had some good news regarding my niece this evening. she is now very much on the mend and will soon be allowed to convalesce at her grandmother's (my mum's) house as she used to work at the hospital Amy has been treated in.

Amy asked me to thank you for all your good thoughts and wishes.

also i found a really nice foodie blog recently with lots of interesting recipes (no photo's yet but the blog writer plans to have them in the future). it is written by a warm person that shares lots of snippets about her daily life too.
you can find her here: http://shirleygoode.blogspot.com/

many thanks again for all your kind support and good wishes xxx
