Girl in a Cloche Hat

I don't wear hats.  I would love to but I don't suit them.  I thought I would draw a girl and put her in a felt cloche hat.  I coloured her in using pro marker pens and added some paper pieced details.  She wears a large flower on her hat to say 'look at me!  I am young and beautiful and I suit hats!'  I enjoyed making her so much that I have made a batch of cards like her wearing different coloured hats and flowers.

I have been on a bit of  a craft frenzy this week.  I have a little sadness to deal with so at such times I like to keep busy.

Have a lovely weekend my friends. x

  4. I hope that your sadness has abated somewhat by now Simone.

Your girl in a cloche hat reminds me of my Aunty Olwyn who left Wales in 1916 when she was 19 aboard the 'Baltic' to sail to New York. I finally met her in 1965 when I was 19.
