Precious Gifts

My 'fairy meadow' is continuing to be a source of delight to me.  During the intervals of rain I go outside and see the fairy toadflax multiplying by the day.  I am invigorated and enthused by nature again and have plans of an area for moonlight contemplation.  I will keep you posted!

The wildflower plants feel like gifts of nature to me.  I also received some gifts from a very dear friend.  Sharon from sallymomsprouts.  The fabric wrapped soap is an invigorating peppermint and winter berry scent made by her herbalist friend.  It is delightful!  Sharon also enclosed a hand stamped and handwritten letter and some botanical cling stamps for me to use.  She certainly knows my taste!

It would be wonderful if you would drop into Sharon's blog and say hi!  She lives on a farm in rural Wisconsin and is being affected by the sky high temperatures and drought conditions.  If we collectively will some of our rain her way maybe the rain clouds will take themselves off to where they are most needed.

  2. What a beautiful gift, Simone! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could share weather so that we could all have just the right amount of sun and rain. I look forward to learning more about the area for contemplation - your fairy meadow must be a constant delight:)

  4. I love your fairy meadow it is delightful I am a great fan of wild flowers. I am trying to balance the wild, the self seeders and the cultivated in our cottage garden in Scotland. We have beautiful self seeded pink Campions, Foxgloves, pink Poppies, Hypericums, Fuchsias and Buddlea and it is hard not to let any one get too rampant and crowd the others out. I love the way they pop up all over the garden and surprise me each year. The poppies have been quite attracted to my large compost heap this year! I look forward to seeing more pictures of your little meadow as it develops.

  5. I like your fairy meadow, it does look pretty.
Lovely gifts too, though I had to google cling stamps to see what they were. The designs do look lovely and quite to your style I would say!

  6. Simone,
Thank you for your kind words, your love and concern for me, and for the rain. Yes, it is raining. We actually had quite a buildup to the shower and the winds for a bit had me checking the sky for signs of violence. Dovey actually ran under the buffet and didn't come out for the longest while. And we had thunder and lightning, too! Love it. I am convinced that it is the collective healing energies of good folk like you that helped give Mother Nature the nudge to remember us here in the midwest USA.
Your garden is enchanting, by the way, and I can see why it's such a source of pleasure for you.

  14. Dear Simone,

I am wearing my fairytale bracelet purchased from your shop as I type this and smiling. Just look at those beautiful gifts Sharon has sent you. I know Sharon a little and truly think she is a wonderful person from her thoughtful writing alone. I am glad to see from her comment above that she has had the rain she was hoping for for so long.

Your fairyglade is so pretty. Sigh. Such joy.

ps Wish me a little luck today, please. I have just posted about my newly opened Etsy shop. Do you remember that feeling? :-)
