The torch relay reached our borough on Wednesday!
We had a leisurely stroll up to one of the viewing points.
Wenlock one of the Olympic mascots had his beady eye on me!
A moment of anticipation.
A torch bearer proudly runs along the street flanked by cyclists and runners. There was such a good vibe about the place. People sat in their front gardens sipping fruit punch and others had climbed up their drainpipes to get good camera footage.
With the sun beating down on us we made our way back home and bought Caramel Magnum ice creams to celebrate!
Great photos Simone! :)
ReplyDeleteThere is a really good feeling surrounding the Olympics which I love, of course there are are few miseries who want to sour the occasion but we'll just ignore them.
Have a great weekend,

ReplyDeleteWe have been away and so I am just catching up on posts.
ReplyDeleteYou had such great weather for the torch, it was tipping down when it was our turn and we were all in wellies!
Love the new necklaces you have made, so pretty the felt and bead combo.
Hope you are well.
