Doing the Shamballa

Let's forget about yesterdays post of woe and concentrate on something nicer but not before I say thank you for your empathy and valued comments.

I have seen shamballa bracelets around for a while now and thought I would have a go at making my own.  Once you get the knack of the technique (macrame) they are quite straight forward to make.  I used haematite and rose quartz semi-precious beads and some glitter ball beads for added bling!  Although they look huge in the photo, the largest bead is only about 1 cm.

I normally dress quite conservatively but it is nice to have a bit of bling in your wardrobe now and then even if it is only in jewellery!

Have a lovely weekend!

*Reading back over this has made me chuckle.  I like to think that I dress conservatively and 'normal' but today I am wearing a pair of old jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt with a short sleeve tunic over the top, a spotty pair of pink/grey/blue socks, a woolly scarf wrapped twice around my neck and a zip up fleece. On most days I am to be found wearing jeans, a long sleeve top and a dress over the top!  I think I would now describe myself as conservatively weird!!!

  1. Very pretty! I think they would look very good worn with a plain jacket.
