In the Midst of Mayhem

It is hard to believe that I am now on the fourth  full day of sorting out the craft room.  You should have seen what it looked like before!  It  looks worse than it actually is, for although things are scattered around the room I now have empty boxes to put things away in.  I have cleared out old wool and craft materials and heaps and heaps of magazines.  Why on earth did I cling on to this stuff  for so long?  I am sure a psychologist would have the answer.

This will be the last of my cluttered craft room posts.  The next time it will be featured will be when it is organized and a fully functional space!  The reason I am blogging about this rather uninspirational topic is to be a reminder to self to never let things build up to such a state again.  Once it is tidy,  I am sure I will take pride in keeping it that way.

  1. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs! I had a big mess too before my room got sorted!
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished omelette Simone!

  2. Snap! My room looks just like that! Got rid a load of stuff on freecycle, just about to tackle the cupboard under the stairs so I move some stuff into there just so I can move in the craft room - trouble is once the stuff is under the stairs it will get forgotten for another ten years.........

  3. Things often have to get worse before they can get better and once it is sorted you will no doubt feel more inspired to do something crafty - looking forward to seeing the finished result.

  4. I think we have all been there - you will feel so much more creative when it is done and you will have probably discovered or uncovered many things you had forgotten about. Looking forward to seeing your new craft work when you are up and running! x

  6. You have been busy - there is always that stage in clearing when you seem to be juggling everything and then suddenly all becomes clear - I hope you enjoy working in your new, tidy craft room:)

  9. Just looking back over your posts, Simone. Oh, this is so familiar to me - I have about as much stuff in mine, and it also wanders from the perimeter into the middle of the floor!! Hope you've had luck decluttering - I need it badly!! xx
