Not wanting to waste a thing last year, I put the left over rolls of Christmas paper back into the loft to use again this Christmas. Unfortunately the rolls got squashed in storage and there wasn't as much paper left as I recalled. Also, I didn't have any matching gift tags.
I like to keep a stock of brown paper and luggage labels and try to buy it when on special offer. Combining the brown paper with the gift wrap has been my solution for using the gift wrap without resorting to buying more.
Offcuts of the patterned paper have been used to fashion simple gift tags and I have replaced the white strings with bakers twine.
Using a star shaped punch I glued stars from silver pattered paper onto the brown wrap. An affordable way to decorate. I think I will use this method of wrapping for birthday's too; using the brown wrap and accenting with more expensive pretty papers.
So beautiful Simone! I don't want to waste paper either. Your idea is great! I might use it myself!
