Serial Maker

It has taken a while for the penny to drop but I have discovered that I am a serial maker.  It is rare that I make just one of anything.  I have to make the same thing over and over until I get things 'just right'.  Then I stop.  Just like that I stop and move onto something else.  There may be some more mileage in the key rings or some variation in making them but I am eager to to explore new and challenging things.

This has been another unusual week full of the mundane and of the unexpected too.  I had to go to the GP on Monday as I have been having an ongoing foot problem since tripping down a couple of stairs back in September.  She asked me if I worked and when I replied 'no' she looked at me and said 'what do you do all day?"   I told her that I like to make things and I am busy doing that.  She gave me an almost pitying look and I felt really small and useless.

I still haven't returned to the vineyard, for several reasons really.  I wonder if it is just one of those things that has run its course as I always seem to have an excuse not to go.

Well, the spring equinox is almost upon us.  A time for change.  A time for new directions.

I have decided to postpone the giveaway for the time being due to unforeseen circumstances (it isn't nearly as dramatic as it sounds)!

Have a lovely spring equinox! x

Huh, I thought doctors were supposed to be intelligent people!!! When someone asks me what I do all day because I don't go out to work, I am livid, how dare they! My usual answer is ' well if I had as much time on my hands as you, I'd go out to work too' or if they really make me cross I say ' you can't have a very clean house' !!! Sorry, this is something that makes me very angry!
Never in all the years I've been at home have I ever stood and wondered to myself 'what will I do today'!!!!! As if going out to work makes you a more valued person, what nonsense!
You keep on making Simone!

Why is it some GPs and their nurses do their best to make you feel inadequate? Grr... I hope your foot problem can be sorted out and that Spring will bring lots of exciting new projects for you:)

How infuriating! You would think that as a GP she would know that people come from all walks in life and that there isn't just one "right" or "valid" way to live. Perhaps we should pity her for having such a narrow point of view (and seemingly non-creative personality).

I'm interested to see what your next serial making project will be!

Sorry to hear about your foot - hope it is getting better. Even when I was at home all day I never had anyone ask me what I did all day - not sure what I would have answered other than it would be none of their business!! Don't be put off Simone by other peoples criticisms - it is your life and you have the choice to do exactly what you want with it.
