Marking a Birthday

I didn't want my Birthday to pass me by without recognition, so today I bought a Birthday cake for myself!  I won't eat it all of course as it will be shared, but just wanted to mark the occasion.  I bought a lovely bunch of daffodils and a new magazine.  I did buy myself some on line treats too so I will have something to look forward to.

Tonight I am having smoked salmon, rice and asparagus for my dinner.  It is just a shame that I forgot to buy any wine!  Oh well.  Cheers!

  12. If I could, I would cobble together a bouquet for you....to those daffodils I would add some purple hyacinth, some sprigs of snowbells, some deep red tulips and a few fronds of the freshly greening ferns in my yard. And I would line a basket with some pretty dish towels...something that would make your heart sing.
And inside I would place an assortment of baked sweets I bought at a local bakery....edible art. And I'd include an enormous fresh salad and some handmade salad dressing (I'd make it myself and put it in a blue mason jar with a handmade tag with the recipe).

Then I'd tuck in some ripe fruits and chocolates and a bottle of really lovely wine. I'd write you a poem that would un-hurt you,
would un-do all the wounds of your life....bring peace and provision and protection and perfect joy (I'm dreaming here:))

Yeah, you're worthy of such a gift. Love hovers over and hears and sees and tenderly cares for you that much and more.

I hope you feel the there-ness of the heart that beats so strongly love for you.

Happiest of birthdays....may this next one be your sweetest year so far.
