Among other things, Lily-of-the-Valley means 'return to happiness' in the language of flowers, and I am very happy to see its return in the shady spot in my front garden.
Beautiful picture of your lily of the valley plants, Simone. I didn't know the meaning, so thank you for sharing that...my lovely lily of the valley is just coming into flower too, a little later than yours. Wishing you a very happy week! Helen xox
Lily of the Valley was my mother's favorite flower. And I do adore its fragrance. Those in my garden are just beginning to poke through the mulch in my driveway garden under the towering pines. Soon, soon I'll be able to gather a small bouquet. Hope these happy little harbingers of true spring indeed bring you a "return to happiness."
I didn't know the meaning of Lily-of-the-Valley, that's lovely! I remember us having one in the garden when I was little, I think I need one in mine now! V x
I never knew they mean a return to happiness. I think that really fits. I planted some last year and I wasn't sure they made it, but now I'm seeing that they are coming up. I hope I get some flowers!
