Poems. Ponderings. Pictorials
What a lovely thought! I love Lily of the Valley but it just won't grow in our garden you are lucky to have it return each year:)
Beautiful picture of your lily of the valley plants, Simone. I didn't know the meaning, so thank you for sharing that...my lovely lily of the valley is just coming into flower too, a little later than yours. Wishing you a very happy week!Helen xox
Lily of the Valley was my mother's favorite flower. And I do adore its fragrance. Those in my garden are just beginning to poke through the mulch in my driveway garden under the towering pines. Soon, soon I'll be able to gather a small bouquet.Hope these happy little harbingers of true spring indeed bring you a "return to happiness."
I didn't know the meaning of Lily-of-the-Valley, that's lovely! I remember us having one in the garden when I was little, I think I need one in mine now!V x
Lily of the Valley was my mums favourite flower, so I grow it in the garden.Julie xxxxxx
I never knew they mean a return to happiness. I think that really fits. I planted some last year and I wasn't sure they made it, but now I'm seeing that they are coming up. I hope I get some flowers!
One of my faves! Thanks for sharing this lovely pic.
