Decorating the house with flowers from the garden
Spritzing body with a cooling scented body spray before bed
Having a tepid bath with Epsom salts
Making a foot soak to relax tired summer feet
Making lists of joyful things to do in summer’s to come
I was a bit pre-emptive with this post and had it prepared before the turn in weather. It is cold and wet and not very summery here at the moment but the joy list is something to be undertaken once the hot and sticky days return! Here is today's alternative Joy List in July!
A bowl of freshly prepared seasonal vegetable soup
Making freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam
Doing some colouring or zentangle
Planning places to go for when the good weather returns
Drawing up garden plans for next summer

I love both these lists for summery things to enjoy, Simone. And our variable weather means it isn't monotonous doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy new week.

Both lists are wonderful Simone but it's definitely a day for a bowl of vegetable soup!!!

Both great lists, Simone but it is definitely a day for warm soup here too - my feet were actually cold yesterday - in July! Hope we get a few more summer days before autumn sets in:)
ReplyDeleteIt's unfortunate that we're having such a bad summer - so far. Hopefully we'll get some good weather in August.
ReplyDeleteBoth lists are great, Simone.
ReplyDeleteHope you're finding lots to savor all week long as we finish up our month of savoring!
I can't believe this weather for July. I am so cold. I suppose it doesn't help that I've been stood still outside all day watching the tree felling, but a bowl of soup sounds very appealing right at this moment!
ReplyDeleteWhat has happened to summer, we seem to have gone into a bit of a stop start with the weather haven't we.
ReplyDeleteI bought Savanna a new colouring book today, I've got my eye on a few of the pages!
