Where Do You Go To My Lovely?

Where do you go to when you are not reading blogs?  I am still an avid blog reader but so many people are dropping out of the blogging World.  Blogging is particularly lonely in the summer months when people go away on holiday or spend more time away from the computer.  Sometimes I think I am blogging to myself - but that's OK.  I enjoy writing and looking back over my old blog posts to see what my interests have been and how I was feeling at the time.

I have been building up a book collection to read over the next few months.  It takes me ages to read a book (so easily distracted) so this little lot should last me well into Christmas!  I have read a few pages of each but not enough to give a review on any of them.

In a weeks time I will be on annual leave from my job.  Time to catch up on doing all the things I love to do.  Hopefully I will have some things of interest to report back on here.

I have a significant post coming up in a few posts time and it would be great if you could join me on that day!  Keep watching! :)

  2. I still have a 45 rpm copy of Peter Sarstedt's 'Where do you go to my lovely?' somewhere! There do seem to be fewer people blogging now and those that are don't post as much, me included. I always enjoy visiting you here Simone. I read more books at the moment as there isn't much I want to see on television. I enjoyed 'The Ashes of London' once I got into it. Hope you enjoy your annual leave:)

  3. I have never visited - just found you now. I have been looking through old favourite blogs for new inspiration due to a lack of blog reading fodder. Everyone seems to have jumped over to Instagram. I'll hang around for a while and of course will travel in time to read some old posts.

  4. It takes me ages to read a book too....I only read really when I go to bed and then I manage one or two pages before I fall asleep! I can't read more than one book at a time either as I get confused! As for blogging I am so behind on mine I've just done my last postcard from Easter! Anyway I will plod on with it as I like to look back on things we have done...if others read it too well that's a bonus! Xxx

  6. It is always nice to have a new collection of books to look forward to, I'm going to put the Sharon Blackie one onto my wishlist. I have just got a good pile from the library to tide me over the summer break, so looking forward to that! I am curious about the 'significant post' you have in store - I will be watching :)

  9. I have a similar pile of waiting-to-be-read books, Simone. I am waiting for some cooler days to sit and read in my grandfather's rocking chair (if the cats allow!) on our porch! I am feeling the same way about blogs - many seem to be abandoned, and I need to catch up on my own. But I do love a good blog, like yours, and I'll look forward to more posts from you! xx

  10. I thought I'd replied to this, but I don't see my comment.

I've definitely seen a drop in my blog traffic this summer. I haven't been visiting blogs as much, either. I'd like to say it was because I was off enjoying the summer, but mostly it's because my to-do lists are always too long. (And I'm trying to fit in some summer enjoyment, too).

I hope you enjoy your time off, Simone. May it be filled with relaxation, rejuvenation and creativity!
