Fruit and Veg Happening in the Garden

 I gave the grass a haircut today.  Cutting the grass helps keep me fit and It's a job I don't mind doing.

Tiny Braeburn apples are beginning to form on my potted apple tree.  Won't be such a good harvest this year with only half as many pollinated as last year.

Did Some Card Making

It has been so long since I made a card that I hardly knew where to start!  Luckily I have a lot of craft supplies but am a bit bored of seeing the same papers.  I watched a YouTube video and found a new way of using my papers by mixing them up, cutting/tearing into strips and sticking them down onto a base card.

Using a wood block stamp and black paint I stamped a jolly cat design onto printed papers and carefully cut round the edge.

These were such fun to do.  I know how I am going to be spending some of today!

Edited:  Forgot to say that the small motifs are on the backs of the cards.

Keeping Busy

I have been busy during lock down but don't have much to show for it.  The lily-of-the-valley in my front garden narrow border are now coming to an end.  I picked a few to show you in a Portmeirion posy vase that was gifted to me by my late Auntie Gladys.

As well as gardening I have been doing some free online courses with  OpenLearn  as recommended by my blogging friend Rosie.  The one I completed so far was Dutch Painting of the Golden Age - a period in history (17th Century) that fascinates me.  I have also been looking at all kinds of copyright free material with Project Gutenberg which is an online library of over 60,000 free e-books - mostly older literary works.  It has certainly kept me occupied and entertained!

I haven't yet got around to doing my other creative outlets such as collage, painting, embroidery etc. Hopefully I will allot some time to do so.
