A Most Beautiful Day

I woke to the most beautiful blue sky.
I hung out my spring quilt to air on the washing line and made a shadow bunny.
The garden is greening up now - not so much brown to be seen.
A vase of cheery daffodils adorn the dining room table.

As the sun goes down I will spend my time sewing together hexagons and reflect on the beautiful day.

  1. Lovely cheery post today! Your hexagon patchwork is looking gorgeous! Love the quilt on the line and the shadow bunny - reminds me of childhood when my father used to make them for me. Have a great week, hope you enjoy lots of sunshine.

  12. Worse luck I missed the lovely weather today by being inside at work, all day. Your shadow bunny looks like Hartley Hare from Pipkins. Remember him? x

  13. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your lovely day. Nice to see so much green (we still have snow, snow, snow).

Is that your henhouse in the third picture? Your garden looks so inviting!

I love seeing your quilt progress! I've been thinking about my next quilt, but alas, it's not going to be hexagons. I do have lots of scraps, though, and it might be fun to try to use all those up...

  15. Oh I ache for green! Did I spy your hen house just to the right of the clothesline? We've begun to think of what our coop will be like.... And where we'll put our permanent clothesline. Can't keep hanging the laundry in the front yard just because the trees there provide a place to tie the rope!
I wish I could take a stroll through your garden with you. And oh I wish the only bunnies in my garden were shadows!
Your photos gave my spirit a much needed lift this afternoon. Merci.
