I have had this nativity scene for over ten years. It is porcelain and very well made with spaces for Christmas lights to be placed within the dwellings. The shop where I bought it was closing down and the set was inside a dust covered box. I didn't pay very much for it and year after year it comes out to decorate our living room. It looks as good as new.
I like my house to look cosy and welcoming at Christmas time. At times I like a modern, minimalist look, but when the snow begins to fall and outside temperatures plummet, I like my home to be warm and inviting. You wont find any cold electric blue lights here no matter how much my husband likes them!
It has been a while since I featured food on my blog so I may have a sweet treat to share with you over the next week IF my experiment comes out right! Have a lovely weekend. x
How festive Simone, it does look cosy and warm. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your crib scene. I'm going to be putting mine up this weekend. Wouldn't be Christmas without it!

It's looking lovely and cosy and festive round your way. I have a couple of favourite decorations I like to bring out and meet again each year too. The plan is to put the tree and the rest of the decorations up here tomorrow. I've just been playing in two concerts two nights in a row and now they're over I feel I can start to get in the Christmas mood...
ReplyDeleteDo you know I was just discussing Christmas lights with my daughter this morning and we both agreed on how we didn't like blue Christmas lights!
ReplyDeleteYour Nativity is beautiful and your room looks very cosy.
Looking forward to the sweet treat. :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Simone,

Looks lovely, Simone. Very bright and warm looking. I love to bring out treasures we've had for ages each year:)
ReplyDeleteThere is something precious and personal about a nativity set. Yours brings me right into your home. May it cause your heart to swell in the knowledge of the love of each of us who have now shared it with you, for years to come.
ReplyDeleteYour lounge looks really cosy!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child I used to "build" (it was 1 mt long) my own Nativity scene and I'm really missing those happy moments..now I have one trapped into a boule de neiges...so sad!
