Unseasonal

It may be spring outside (although today there seems to have been a blip) but in my heart it feels like the depths of winter.  OK, I am being melodramatic but I have gone down with a nasty bug and it has stopped me in my tracks.  I have frittered my days away sleeping and had neither the will or the inclination to do anything but sleep.  This inactivity is making me feel quite miserable but it is hard to concentrate on anything when you have a pounding head and streaming eyes and nose.  There is so much that I want to do but can't do at the moment.  The greenhouse needs cleaning and sorting out, seeds are still to be sown, letters are to be written, new craft materials are waiting to be used and the household chores are piling up around me.

I have not managed to comment on all of your blogs recently and it is an effort to write this post as I feel so wretched.  Hopefully I will be restored to health in the next few days.   Have a lovely weekend.

  1. Don't fight it Simone, if your body needs sleep then sleep!
Everything will get done, stressing about it won't help your health.
It is lovely to see Gizmo, it has been a while! :)
Have a relaxing weekend and a lovely Mothers Day,

  2. take your time to get yourself well again Simone. The house and things can wait a while, the letters and crafts will get done eventually and you need time doing nothing to make sure you are on top form to face the coming spring. warm hugs from us.

  3. Hope you're better soon, allow yourself some rest if that's what you need, sometimes easier said than done though! We've a nasty virus going round here which I had a little dose of starting on Sun, fortunately the shivers and aches are away, just lots of snot to deal with, lovely! I do feel the house is a right mess now though. Fortunately I haven't missed any great weather , though it was dry for the week and is back raining again for my first day back out, typical!

  4. Sorry to hear you are feeling quite so poorly. Hope the rest and sleep give you back your energy soon, but in the meantime take it easy, everything will get sorted at some point.

  5. Take care of yourself!! Your body is telling you to take it easy. Heed its advice. You will feel better soon. All your to-dos can wait!

Fix yourself a cup of tea (with honey? :) ), put your feet up and speedily recover!

  14. I echo all the above comments, Simone! Listen to your body, not your mind. Your mind is encouraging your body to do what it needs to heal. Once it has healed, your mind will heal as well. Do what a cat does when it is sick - rest. Lovely to see ginger boy again, by the way!
I hope you feel better soon.

Just got back to my computer at the farm after a getaway week. Hope by now you're on the mend and feeling the balm of the season lifting you.
