Last year I cut right back on buying magazines and just bought the bi-monthly Land Love. I had become so bored of wasting money on magazines that whetted my appetite for no more than half an hour. So many magazines have little content and are just full of adverts. Today I succumbed to a new magazine called Daphne's Diary. It wasn't cheap at £4.99 but I am sure that it will inspire me for longer than a day.
Published in the Netherlands, it's strap line says that it is about Interior, Garden, Vintage, Workshops, Outings and Trips and Shopping. I think it has most things covered then!
There are some lovely projects in the book such as making a rucksack from a rug, a natural room spray using essential oils and gorgeous paper roses that really do look like the real thing.
I am sure that so many of you would enjoy this magazine or bookazine? I haven't been so inspired since Magic Patch's Born to Quilt magazine!
This looks lovely, Simone. Thank you for the review, I will look out for this magazine :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a happy week.

That is tempting, but I mustn't! Like you I haven't bought any magazines for ages, but I will pop into town and have a quick peak.......

Looks like a yummy magazine, Simone! I have given up most of my subscriptions also, preferring to find good ideas and beautiful images on Pinterest instead. Have you tried it? Meanwhile, enjoy delving into your lovely find!xxx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very pretty magazine and one you can spend ages browsing:)
ReplyDeleteOoh, very tempted!!
ReplyDeleteI have picked this magazine up a few times now in Sainsbury's to have a browse and have put it back each time trying hard not to buy it! I do love my magazines and this one is very tempting but I opted instead for Gardens Illustrated as at the moment it is more useful to me. it is a great magazine though and if I have a little overtime money this month this will be my first treat to myself! Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover, it's so pretty and the content seems interesting too.
ReplyDeleteNot heard of this magazine before but it looks very interesting. Just the thing to dip in and out of when the mood grabs you.

I'm beginning to think the European magazines are superior to the American versions. I recently looked at Country Living from your side of the pond and couldn't believe how much better it is than the American Country Living.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for cutting back on subscriptions. I, too, find them mostly advertisements that I don't wish to pay for. I mostly borrow what I can from my public library.
Looks like this new one you've purchased will be more than worth its cover price. And you deserve to treat yourself once in a while.
