All is quiet in the blogging world.
I wait patiently for my peonies to bloom.
I wait for my sweet succulent strawberries...........................
.......................and ripe, juicy plums................
and clusters of purple grapes.
I wait for the ripened tayberries........................
and handfuls of blueberries.
I wait for a picnic blanket to be strewn with picnic food, and whilst I wait for the long, hot, balmy days of summer, of picking and eating fruit and sharing edibles on the lawn, until then.....................
I have a beautiful compassion rose to look at........................
..................and a pretty corner of the garden................
and Gizmo.x
What wonderful things to look forward to,Simone!!

I love peonies, I saw a yellow one today - I've never seen one that colour before
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks lovely, Simone - oh, to have a pink peony - so pretty and lots of lovely summer fruit, too. Love the photo of Gizmo:)
ReplyDeleteLovely, Simone. I have been doing a bit of gardening while the kids eat breakfast! The sun is so warm and the birds are chatting away. Great x
ReplyDeleteEverything in your garden looks so lush. Here's hoping there wil be many sunny picnics this summer.

It has been very quiet in the blogworld of late hasn't it... too much sunshine and happy days in the garden :o) Looks like you're going to have a feast! Our veggies and strawberries are growing well but we don't have nearly as many lovely fruits as you to look forward to! YUM!
ReplyDeleteSimone you are so lucky to have such a beautiful, fruitful garden and such an adorable cat.
ReplyDeleteA happy weekend to you

Thanks for sharing.

why, why, why can't I grow peonies? Is it true that they take YEARS to flower?
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking fantastic! I love the grape vine. I planted 4 last year and I'm really hoping they take off this year.
Thanks for sharing your garden. I love sitting out in the yard just listening and watching everything that enters it. That is the best!

Beautiful garden!! What are teaberry's. I don't ever remember hearing of them before.
ReplyDeleteLovely dreams of summer to come!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin recently bought me a 'Compassion' rose, so it's nice to see one in bloom - I'm going to try and get mine to climb, although knowing my luck with anything green, it'll probably just wither and die (I'm hopeless with plants!) :0)
Simone, I love your garden photos but I am still loving GIZMO! What a sweet face! Lovely rose too! My roses are starting to bloom even before my peonies this year. Everday is a joy to see what is blooming don't you agree?
ReplyDeleteMy peonies have more buds on them this year. Last year I had one flower in total! My strawberries are going to be fruitful this year too. I'd love a plum tree for crumbles! A great shot of Gizmo in the green. x
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely things too look forward too!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post!

What a lovely, lovely post, thank you I really enjoyed your garden.
ReplyDeleteYou saved the best for last, Simone! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one of Gizmo!!! Absolutely ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteYour garden flowers are lovely, I love Peonies, my only one, which came with me from the old house has not a bud in sight, I cannot even remember what colour it is. Gizno has a look of mischeif on his pretty face! I love the birdhouse too. Mine are on the ground so no bird has moved in and probably will not, I should get Mr N to put them both up for me, although I must say that the birds are going through the Fat Balls like there is no tomorrow.
