A Taste of Things to Come.......

All is quiet in the blogging world.

I wait patiently for my peonies to bloom.

I wait for my sweet succulent strawberries...........................

.......................and ripe, juicy plums................

and clusters of purple grapes.

I wait for the ripened tayberries........................

and handfuls of blueberries.

I wait for a picnic blanket to be strewn with picnic food, and whilst I wait for the long, hot, balmy days of summer, of picking and eating fruit and sharing edibles on the lawn, until then.....................
I have a beautiful compassion rose to look at........................

..................and a pretty corner of the garden................

  8. It has been very quiet in the blogworld of late hasn't it... too much sunshine and happy days in the garden :o) Looks like you're going to have a feast! Our veggies and strawberries are growing well but we don't have nearly as many lovely fruits as you to look forward to! YUM!

  11. why, why, why can't I grow peonies? Is it true that they take YEARS to flower?
Your garden is looking fantastic! I love the grape vine. I planted 4 last year and I'm really hoping they take off this year.

  14. Lovely dreams of summer to come!

My cousin recently bought me a 'Compassion' rose, so it's nice to see one in bloom - I'm going to try and get mine to climb, although knowing my luck with anything green, it'll probably just wither and die (I'm hopeless with plants!) :0)

  15. Simone, I love your garden photos but I am still loving GIZMO! What a sweet face! Lovely rose too! My roses are starting to bloom even before my peonies this year. Everday is a joy to see what is blooming don't you agree?

  16. My peonies have more buds on them this year. Last year I had one flower in total! My strawberries are going to be fruitful this year too. I'd love a plum tree for crumbles! A great shot of Gizmo in the green. x

  20. Your garden flowers are lovely, I love Peonies, my only one, which came with me from the old house has not a bud in sight, I cannot even remember what colour it is. Gizno has a look of mischeif on his pretty face! I love the birdhouse too. Mine are on the ground so no bird has moved in and probably will not, I should get Mr N to put them both up for me, although I must say that the birds are going through the Fat Balls like there is no tomorrow.
